Born in 1954, in Araya Mount Lebanon.

At the age of five, his interest in painting was already apparent.
As a young boy of twelve, he started taking lessons with Harout Torassian, from whom he learned the basics of painting and the aquarelle (Watercolour) techniques.
He pursued his studies at the Michael Angelo Institute, and in 1982 graduated with a painting diploma. He furthered his learning through individual artistic studies, and is considered today as one of the best Lebanese aquarellist.

Michel Rouhana's paintings are characterized by architectural details, shiny colours and vague contours; in addition to modern paintings. The transparency and charm of his work reflect Rouhana's confidence and maturity. Through his paintings, the artist gives us an impression of calmness and clarity, of innocence and purity.

Today, the works of Michel Rouhana adorn the walls of various prestigious locations such as governmental and royal palaces.

Michel Rouhana is currently:

·         The Art director of "Daraj El Fan" Association Jemmaizé and through his paintings he represents a part of the Lebanese cultural heritage.

·         Member and treasurer of “l’Association des Artistes Peintres et Sculpteurs Libanais“.

·         He is an officially designated artist of the Lebanese Presidential Palace

·         Has received the Bronze Medal of General Emile Lahoud.

·         Holds several trophies and honorary accreditations.

·         Presidents, kings, (like president of Brazil and Greece) and others, all have paintings for Rouhana.

·         He took part of many individual & collective exhibitions and symposiums since 1982.

·         His paintings have also been chosen by the M.E.A. for several years, to decorate their cards and menus.

·         A poem was dedicated to the painter by the famous poet Said Akl.

·         His paintings decorate many books and products.

·         Golden medal from the association « Le mérite et dévouement Français ».
